AL Client Tutorial
From the website:
The Ashavar's Legacy MUD Client version 2.38 is now available for release. It is a completely free MUD client, which includes almost all of the features of a pay client, including a mapping utility, automapper, edit box, hotkeys, customizable buttons, and more. There are no banners, advertizements, or reminders to register or donate money. All future versions of this client will be free, and all of the new MUD client features will be available for free.
Why I like it: It's free, supports color, customizable, multiple windows allow porting of certain chatlines to other windows. This allows me to not lose conversations or spam my main playing area.
Download and install the client.

When you start the client for the first time you will see:

If you want a quick config file then download mine:
igor.cfg and save it to: ~/Program Files/AL Client
Then start AL Client, goto File -> Load File
Once loaded you should see:
Now click Connect -> Connect to Remote Host
Click OK

After you connect you can start setting up the windows to fit your playing style. As you can see I have 3 windows. The main one shows normal mud activity. The second one I have set up to catch tells and chatlines. The third one catches "says".
To customize the windows simply click on Windows -> Properties to get:

Click on Keywords to get:

There are a lot more functions to use but hopefully this short tutorial will get you started. I haven't even played with most of the functions yet so if you have something helpful please added it to this page.

So can I make a command box to keep my command text separate

? Like Cmud has.

Humm, any idea how to make the words wrap, so chatlines don't break off and continue in main screen?

If you look at the
TFMultiWindow example, it treats indented lines after the chatline header as continuations. I wonder if the same would apply here.
